My girlfriend feels she needs to lose weight and i wouldn’t mind getting in shape myself. Only problem is we don’t where to start. What diets can you start and what type of exercise routines we should use?

Also is there a site we can go to for tips on making healthy food for cheap, exercise routines and etc.

Really appreciate it

If you never exercise, start by just going for a 2-mile walk every day (great chance to chat and bond with her!). As far as diet goes, really keeping a food diary is the best place to start. It gives you a reality check as to when you’re eating too much or what you eat without even thinking.

After a week or so, start adding calisthenics such as situps, pushups, etc.

    I like this website

    All free and good tips!

well sweetie I can tell you right off the bad you just used two “swear words” as far as health is concerned…”diets” and “routine”.
The main thing with fitness is to get moving any way you can, as long as you like it enough to keep at it…and shake things up every now and again…like they say, variety is the spice of life!
As for food, just listen to your body. If you’re a natural born snacker, then eat when you’re hungry and listen to what your body is saying it needs(and no, if it’s saying “french fries”, that probly just means “carbs” and bread would be better, lol). If you’re the kind of person who has to have three squares a day and that’s that, then just make sure your plate is at least half fruit or vegetables at every meal.
Don’t forget water either….water is the most power of power “foods” there are.

    Simple as that.

I’d just say eat less fast food and junk food. Don’t deprive yourself completely because then you’ll just crave it more. For example, still eat the piece of cake for dessert, but maybe eat only one piece or a small piece. Or have just a handful of Cheetos instead of half the bag.

As far as exercise goes, I think the best thing to do is just go on walks. Outside or on a treadmill is great. Start off with a couple miles and work your way up (or add hills/incline). Bike rides are also good. Even something silly like a Dance Dance Revolution game isn’t bad. I’d basically just say anything to get the blood flowing is a good idea.

    hi there!

I lost a lot of weight and reduce my jeans size using a training program called turbulence training that I found here:

i love it because you actually see results and you don’t have to spend hours in the gym or starve yourself. my husband started doing after he saw my results and it is a great way to workout together. you guys should try it.

    i hope this helps.

    good luck
