I am allergic to all milk products and I am currently searching for new recipe ideas that do not contain milk, cheese, or other milk products! Help if you can!

a lot of vegan stuff would be good for you.

As PurpleFreak says, vegan recipes would be the way to go. (Vegans are vegetarians who do not eat any animal products at all — which means no eggs or milk.) Just google “vegan recipes” and you’ll get about 2.8 million hits!! (Not kidding — I just checked) :))

You can also visit the nomilk website, that has recipes (and heaps of other info) specifically for people who must avoid milk products:

    Good luck!

can you eat yoghurt, since it’s lactose-free? if so, you can use it in place of sour cream and you can also strain it for 8 hours in cheesecloth to make yoghurt cheese. and the bacteria is really good for you, especially if you buy a brand like Stonyfield that has a bunch of different bacterias.

as far as milk substitutes go, there’s always your basic soy and rice milk, but give almond milk a try - it’s very yummy. and coconut milk is good for some recipes, for instance, you can make ice “cream” with coconut milk/cream.

    some ideas for meals:
*lasagna with mashed silken tofu + salt instead of ricotta
*grilled chicken, fish, etc. and grilled or sautéed vegetables with olive oil
*vegetarian shepherd’s pie - black beans, corn, carrots, peppers (bell, jalapeño, etc), other veggies, topped with mashed potatoes made with olive oil and vegetable stock
*Thai pizza - use homemade or store-bought pizza dough/crust, top it with peanut sauce, tofu cubes (deep-frying them makes them particularly tasty), shredded carrots, bean sprouts, and chopped peanuts; garnish with fresh cilantro

almost all Asian foods are dairy-free, and even the dairy-included Indian recipes can be easily modified.

there are some really good vegan cookbooks out there, like Lorna Sass’ Complete Vegetarian Kitchen.

    cheers!
