How to Find Good Recipes

Where to find Good Recipes:  Books and Websites

There are numerous recipe books in the marketplace and an array of websites which provide good recipes. Most of the websites and books have categorized recipes and you have to decide which category you want to choose.  Whether you are a housewife or professional, good recipes are available in many places and you should use them to make a recipe book for your needs later.

The “Good Cook” website also has categorized recipes.  You can browse their site by choosing your favorite food, or you can choose their recipe categories.  Select the category which you want and try it out. Their categories range from beverages, bread, main course, seafood and fish to nutrition and health or outdoor cooking. You can get vegetarian food and the different types of meat.  There are recipes for special dishes from various regions, various countries and continents and there are recipes which have special diets like low carb, for weight loss or diabetics.

This website also gives you some innovative ideas like baking up cookies for family fun or crock pot recipes to enjoy.  Just try them out to get some quality time with your family on the weekend.

You may find exciting recipes on the internet like Beer for Beginners, or 54 Ways to Lose Weight, or even Easy to Make Omelets. On the bbc.co.uk website, you can do a quick recipe search by searching for three ingredients: recipe title, chef or the TV program. There are often interesting wine suggestions as well with the recipes.

On the BBC recipe site you can find a recipe according to the main ingredient, the occasion , meal, taste, texture, cuisine, cooking method, provider and dish.  Often there is also a lot of information provided about the recipe and also the nutritional value, so that you know what you are cooking.

The Yahoo Food and Recipe site has many food videos and they are a pleasure to watch.  The recipes for low-fat are the favorites and once you have tried them out, you can rate them as well.  The “healthy categories” are also popular nowadays, so they could be the categories called Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Low Calorie, Low Fat and Low Sugar.

The Hub UK site offers recipes, cookery, food and even a cooking vacation.  The recipe given by this site of the famous Yorkshire pudding is one of the best. The site has thousands of recipes again divided into numerous categories.

Indiaplaza.in has recipes from all over the world.  The database of good cooking recipes on this website is growing continuously.  There is also elaborated information about all the ingredients and directions, so all that you have to do is follow instructions meticulously.

Look for new recipes on Bush’s Best Beans and even the simplest recipes are available here.  The link is http://www.bushbeans.com/recipes/recipes.php.  Finally, a good recipe is what you make of it, by giving each dish a personal touch. For western cooking the measurements are important, and if you take the correct quantities of ingredients nothing can go wrong.  But the oriental cuisine does not demand such exactness, and you can slow down while you are cooking, because you can add or change some of the ingredients mentioned in the recipe.

At the Shoppbox Ebook Reviews there is a variety of recipe ebooks to choose from.

Everything from Oriental to Low Carb recipes can be found there.

How do you know if your grilling recipes are top notch? A good indicator that your grilling recipes are the best around would be if they cause your friends to have tremors simply by thinking about the tender, juicy creations that you are cooking up. The thought of grilling recipes typically conjures incredible visions of over sized slabs of meat in the form of smoked ribs, spare ribs, lamb chops, hamburger patties and much more. What makes grilling recipes so fun, is the fact that there are also many great appetizer recipes which compliment traditional grilling quite well. For example, you should be able to use your barbecue or grill to make pizzas, hot and spicy wings, and a variety of other delicious snacks, even burritos and fajitas in the right circumstances.

The grill is an extremely versatile and diverse cooking medium, and grilling recipes can become just as diverse and versatile simply by adding other foods, additional side dishes, and simply tweaking your grilling recipes while you cook. If you are looking for a way to spice up your appetizers more quickly, you should consider blasting your gas grill to its max temperature, then turning it off and allowing the appetizers from your grilling recipes to cook immediately. Your food will cook very quickly this way, but your barbecue will not be burned in the process. This is especially useful when it comes to grilling recipes that include cheese, which can wreck havoc on your grill if you are not prepared. Don’t throw out any of your cheese-based grilling recipes, because the cheese will melt to absolute perfection in all of your recipes on your grill if you follow this handy tip!

Gas grills can be used to cook a variety of different grilling recipes, including anything that involves appetizers, steak, turkey and chicken. A full plate of food in a grilling recipe always contains more than a single solitary barbecued food. You should quell your hunger with Buffalo wings, kebabs and over sized spicy sausages. Any grilling recipes that contain chicken, turkey, steak or a variety of other types of meats and appetizers can easily be cooked up and enjoyed in the comfort of your own backyard on your hardworking gas grill. Learning a variety of different grilling recipes will ensure that you are constantly creating new, incredibly mouthwatering recipes to share with your friends, family and other loved ones. For baking and cooking? I eat a mostly Mediterranean diet but I add flax seed to most things and have been experimenting with garabanzo bean flour and other things to make gluten free food but sometimes when I look at a recipe I just don’t know what I need to replace certain items with. Is there a cook book out there that does this?

Slip back to last Saturday when your neighbor invited your family over for Burrito Frittatas. You didn’t know that was a Tupperware recipe either, but you enjoyed it.

Over the years, Tupperware recipes have served many guests at Tupperware parties. Then Tupperware began to publish their recipes on cards. Beverages, breads, desserts, main courses, salads, and dressings – there was a Tupperware recipe for every part of a meal.

Since all of their recipes were developed exclusively for the company, the cards have become collectors’ items, and are sometimes difficult to find. A few are available on Internet auction sites, or a Tupperware consultant may be able to help you find what you need. Tupperware recipes are also now available in cookbooks.

Two Quiche Tupperware Recipes

Tupperware recipe cards offered two quiche recipes in recent years.

1. Simply Delicious Quiche - Seq.# 4703 was among the “Taste of Tupperware Recipe Cards - Summer 2003”. Rice Crusted Quiche - Seq.# 4004 was featured in “Taste of Tupperware Recipe Cards – Spring Summer 2006”

Tupperware quiche recipes are simple and easy, like all Tupperware recipes, planned for completion in the time it takes to have a party. Sadly, the official recipes for quiche cannot be shared online without permission.

In lieu of those mentioned above, let me give you a quiche recipe that has been shared among Tupperware consultants.

Impossible Quiche

This recipe uses the following products.

1. “Quick Shake Container”: The domed seal has a hinged pour spout so you have space for mixing. A removable blender wheel blends as you shake.

2. “Thatsa Bowl”: Large mixing bowl with seal

Make your Tupperware quiche as follows.

1. Into a Tupperware “QuickShake”, place 4 eggs, 1 and 1 half cups of milk, a teaspoon of mustard, salt, pepper, and tarragon to taste. Shake until well-blended.

2. In a Tupperware “Thatsa Bowl”, stir together 3 bacon rashes (chopped), a finely chopped medium onion, a cup grated cheese, and ½ cup of self-rising flour.

3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and seal the bowl, expressing air completely. Shake well to mix.

4. Pour ingredients into any standard quiche dish, and bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes. If you prefer, you may microwave the quiche at 60% of power for 12 minutes.

Additional Tupperware Recipes

If you visit websites of individual Tupperware consultants, you will find many Tupperware recipes. Some consultants have posted entire “Taste of Tupperware” cookbooks for your use. Others have posted individual recipes, or created their own recipes that make good use of Tupperware products. I offer one more here, a tantalizing, quick Tupperware recipe for chicken.

Quick and Easy Lemon Pepper Chicken

This recipe uses a “Rock ‘N Serve Large Shallow” container: a special vent on this microwaveable piece lets steam escape while the seal stays on. You get even heating without splatters.

Make your Lemon Pepper Chicken as follows.

1. Coat 3 boneless, skinless chicken ******* with “Miracle Whip” and sprinkle with lemon pepper.

2. Place the chicken in a “Rock ‘N Serve Large Shallow”. Microwave on a high setting for 8 or 9 minutes.

3. Let stand, covered, for 2 more minutes to finish cooking.

You will enjoy Tupperware recipes for their simplicity. You can save time and get good results, yet without sacrificing health.

As for Tupperware products – well, you probably know how they save money and time. To me, they are a great investment.

Copyright © Susan Jennerjohn http://www.ProRestaurantRecipes.com Everyone has their own favorite restaurant. Wouldn’t it be nice to get your favorite restaurant foods at home? You can with recipes that clone professional restaurant recipes. These recipes are developed by examining the dishes at the restaurant, making notes about taste, color and ingredients. This is then turned into a basic recipe and the experimentation begins. The cook tries each recipe and makes alterations as needed until the product ends up like the professional restaurant dish. It takes a lot of trial and error, but the end result costs pennies on the dollar compared to the restaurant dish. You can make enough to feed a whole family for the price you pay at the restaurant. You can also make smaller servings at home which are better for your waistline. These clone recipes can be found all over internet recipe sharing sites and there have been books written featuring these recipes. If you can’t find the recipe you want try the process yourself - you never know what you can come up with until you try. Many sites around the internet offer free recipes. Certain food manufacturers also give away sample recipes on their sites. These recipes are developed to give consumers different ways to use the company’s product. The idea behind these sorts of recipes is to sell their products. They believe consumers are more likely to buy their products if they can use it in many different ways. You can also find these free sample recipes in some packages or with coupons in magazines. Most of these companies have a recipe book that you can buy for a small fee or with shipping and handling costs plus UPS symbols off their products. On their website they may offer a sample of recipes from these books.

The author can’t take space here to give you a collection of acid reflux free cure recipes, but let me contribute to your search.

Acid Reflux Free Cure Recipes

Acid reflux free cure recipes have three things in common.

1. They eliminate or reduce portions of those foods that are typically difficult to digest.

2. They include or increase portions of those foods that are known to aid in digestion.

3. They are FREE!

Orange juice, for example, is acidic. Many people claim that it increases acid reflux. So replace breakfast orange juice with a ripe banana, which is easy to digest. Or opt for an apple.

Brownies and donuts are considered foods to be avoided by acid reflux sufferers. They tend to sit, undigested, in the stomach. Choose an easily digested dessert such as a fat free cookie or jelly beans.

Acid Reflux Recipe Ideas

Here are a handful of ideas for acid reflux recipes.

1. Waldorf salad, made with ripe, healthy apples, nuts, and raisins, is a good acid reflux cure recipe. Use any traditional Waldorf salad recipe, but substitute low-fat mayonnaise and sour cream. You will have a great-tasting salad that contains no recognized acid reflux trigger foods.

2. Beef stew is another great acid reflux cure recipe. Use any beef stew recipe you like, omitting the onions. Cut the fat from the beef. If the stew seems to trigger acid reflux, eat a smaller portion next time.

3. Gingerbread is a marvelous dessert for acid reflux sufferers. Find a recipe that uses canned pumpkin and wheat germ. Make it with unsweetened applesauce and low-fat buttermilk. Then resist the temptation to mound whipped cream on top of it! Try a low-fat imitation whip instead.

4. Roast turkey ****** is a good main course. Cranberries should be fine with it. Serve the potato baked instead of mashed.

5. Lowly meatloaf is thought to have no specific acid reflux triggers.

6. Spaghetti may cause acid reflux in some. You can reduce the possibilities by beginning with acid-free tomato sauce. Omit garlic and onion from your sauce, and try using more basil and less oregano. There are a number of Italian spices that are great in spaghetti sauce. Try fennel with basil.

7. Cheesecake, too, can be an acid reflux cure recipe. Make it with reduced fat or no-fat cheeses. Use egg whites and/or egg substitute.

While trying your acid reflux free cure recipes, learn what the actual cause of acid reflux is. You may be surprised to know that it is a muscular problem. There may be things you can do other than alter your diet.

CAUTION: The information presented here is for educational purposes only. If you have ongoing acid reflux problems, please see your physician for advice.
